Principle #viii is "secondary action" which is the use of gestures or other actions to help and emphasize the main activeness. Decided to apply my OC, Will, from "Liberty". She gets a scrap antsy and grumpy when bored

Things I learned:

Cleaner lineart

Using multiple colors to make different actions clearer

Varying deportment and their timing

I really enjoyed doing this one. Information technology kinda worked out really well, and subsequently focusing on the different pieces 1 at a fourth dimension information technology felt good to sync them together

I shell morty but lost Pepper to Gengar. My original plan had been to use Walnut and his leech seed/ingrain/mega drain combo but Pepper got Knock off so I hinged my plan on him instead. I nearly switched Walnut in for Gengar, and choosing non to do and so turned out to be a mistake that got Pepper killed. I had to put Walnut in anyways and hope my original programme went well, which information technology did since he took out Gengar and his final Haunter. All I tin can say is I'1000 actually glad I have Walnut

CanuckianHawkbi 2021 X-mas Nuzlocke!

growing up, Christmas Eve for me meant a long evening spent with my mom's extensive side of the family unit, including dozens of relatives (her aunt'due south children and their big families) that I am in no way close to. to survive, I started making a habit of playing Pokémon Silver every twelvemonth – what better fashion to laissez passer the time than run into how far I could get before the Double Equally and the cartridge's own long-dead save battery would cut me off?

in somewhat constancy of this "tradition" (and in large part inspired by Jaden Animations' recent Soul Link) I'll be intermittently doing my own festive Nuzlocke of Soul Silver over the next few days! the cocky-imposed twist is that all the names used take to exist holiday-themed, because why the hell not?

Pokemon Insurgence AU: The start of the run

Ayup, coming with another update for the AU!

So, concluding time we left off immediately afterwards picking our Starter, a Delta Bulbasaur that I named Antonia. Pog. At present nosotros get into the story of the game.

And then, our rival is this kid, Damian, who is the last kid from his town to leave on his journey. He only gets a Pokemon because this important dude, the Diviner, who is comparable to the Champion in the official games, is visiting the boondocks, and Damian must get him a souvenir from a nearby cave. He argued with his family unit in the Town Hall to get to practice information technology.

In this AU, I imagine Wilbur gets Antonia because when he entered the Town Hall to get peradventure some info on where he is, he overheard the statement and he kinda got dragged in past Damian. With Antonia past his side, Wilbur headed after Damian into the Shade Forest to keep an heart on him because the kid could injure himself.

I know information technology'south non a perfect explanation but it works for at present, especially since i am writing this at 2 AM, and we could flesh it out later lol. Anyway! What happened afterwards is under the cut.

Kickoff, I forgot to mention this merely in Insurgence, Pokemon follow y'all around just like in Heart Gold and Soul Silver. That means we volition run across our party members in the overworld and of class I'll share those screenshots. Here'south Antonia in the overworld:

Anyway, the first wild Pokemon run across we had was a male person Nidoran that was successfully caught. He was named Freddie.

At present, remember how in my previous postal service I was all like this?

Well... I was battling trainers in the forest, I sent out Antonia to take intendance of a Starly because Freddie was a under her level, and then Starly used Quick Assail:

I almost pissed myself and the discord server I was liveblogging kinda the run in also had a heart set on with me because we love Antonia to bits. She survived though, but in came a lot of close call for all of the squad and then far. Then she got poisoned by another trainer's Roselia, only she survived.

Then... I may have challenged the gods of Nuzlocke runs. Oh dear.

Anyway, I got into the Cave and another encounter... It was a Diglett!

So funny thing I have the program to name the Pokemon after theatre references, anything from characters from plays (Freddie is named after George Three because Hamilton for case), playwrights (Antonia is named after Chekhov) only at Diglett, because of the fact that she is a mole and we had so many shut encounters so far, I decided to name her Oreli, so she may survive further by defying fate, similar her namesake defied 100bur lmao.

Okay only the prototype is funny by itself because I tin only imagine Wilbur beingness similar How are you in a dirt pigsty within the building? in a very endearing way.

The discord server and I then proceeded to piss ourselves over again while leveling upwards considering again my team was brought into the red zone. Oreli was brought o one HP because of poison, just she survived!

And so we finally reached Damian. He didn't find the gift but when nosotros get there nosotros get to eavesdrop on a convenientTM conversation betwixt the baddies: cultists! The dudes were talking about how they want to kill the Diviner and how they sent assassins to kill him.

They say this and nosotros'll point at this and laugh later:

Anyway hearing this Damian is urging u to go dorsum to warn the Diviner. My dude Wilbur basically gets involved in this story purely because he's the adult in this situation.

Simply yeah the next affair I did was grind to level thirteen my party and I stopped playing there. I know the story and i put limits on how far i can level upwards, based on the game'due south wiki. Information technology may seem a pretty high level only the game is pretty difficult and then leveling up is important. Anyway I stocked up on potions and I am hoping for the best.

I love how and so far Wilbur'due south party consists of:

Polite pink frog creature

Poisonous spiky rabbit

Magic mole whose torso beneath the caput is unknown

Beloved information technology!

Finally found a shiny hoppip at 15372 random encounters, mark my longest hunt to this engagement.

Definitely non what I needed, but at least I can move on onto a route where information technology isn't raining lol.

This is the quaternary catch of my soul silver nuzlocke and volition exist going to the box for now, since I already take a shiny hoppip in my squad.
